1) What is required to rent a car from RentAuto.ge

– Minimum age 21 years and maximum 65. (For sports car rentals, minimum age is 23).
– Driving experience 2 years or more.
– Valid Identity Card (Passport).
– Valid Driver’s License (License).
– Driving license corresponding to the type of car you are going to rent.
– We accept both international and non-international driver’s licenses.

WARNING: After booking, for processing data, drawing up a rental agreement and confirming the reservation, RentAuto will need:

– Passport photo, both sides.
– Driver’s License photo, on both sides.

2) Can anybody, other than me, drive a rented car?

Yes. “Second Driver” service is absolutely free for majority of our cars, exception are only vehicles that demand more careful treat (in that case the cost of the “second driver” service is 20$ for the whole renting period), the requirements for an additional driver are the same as for you:

– Minimum age 21 years and maximum 65. (For sports car rentals, minimum age is 23).
– Driving experience 2 years or more.
– Valid Identity Card (Passport).
– Valid Driver’s License (License).
– Driving license corresponding to the type of car you are going to rent.
– We accept both international and non-international driver’s licenses.

WARNING: After booking, for processing data, drawing up a rental agreement and confirming the reservation, RentAuto will need:

– Passport photo, both sides.
– Driver’s License photo, on both sides.

WARNING: “Second Driver” If you did not notify us about the service of a second driver in order to save 20$, decided by yourself give the car to the second driver without informing us, and there was an accident, in this case the insurance policy will not be valid, the full responsibility for the costs will fall on you, so we strongly recommend not to make such decisions without informing us.

Or at least let us know on the spot, before accepting car into operation, so that we could have enough time to include second driver`s information in agreement.

3) How does renting procedure occur?

– Place your request on our website following the instructions. Indicate in detail all your wishes, and our service will select the perfect option.
– Before invoicing, we will contact you to double-check everything. After that we will form the final invoice.
– Our service will deliver the car to the place you specified.
– Before getting the car into operation, you will need to sign an agreement.

Before signing the agreement:

* Our representative will provide you with detailed instructions for using the car, and will inform you of the rules and restrictions (if any).

* Our representative, together with you, will conduct a full review of the car (both internal and external), for malfunctions and damage. All current damages (if any) will be recorded in the act, which you will also need to sign. In case of any future malfunctions/damage, this act will be used as the basis for comparisons.

* After a full check, sign the rent agreement, and our representative will give you the treasured keys.

4) What to do in case of damage to the car during the rental process?

All our cars have full insurance, regardless of the causer of the incident (whether it`s you to blame or somebody else`s fault), in case you have complied with our warnings about alcohol and other types of intoxication, as well as speeding limit, etc. If you’ve been following our rules, calm down and follow the protocol.

* Do not leave the incident place until the results of it are clarified (until the protocol is drawn up by the patrol service and the corresponding insurance act is done). Do not move the vehicle from the scene of the accident for any reason.

* Call a patrol (dial 112). The patrol must record the fact of an accident.

5) Insurance. What it covers and does not cover.

Without franchise and deposit — 100% CASCO insurance. (Deposit applies only to sports cars and is $150)

CDW — Full insurance against all risks – without franchise: Damage insurance in case of accident. The client is completely exempt from liability for damage caused. Any damage is fully covered by the car insurance policy. Excluding sports cars (Deposit/Collateral applies only to sports cars and is $150).

FDW — Special Full Insurance – no franchise & (WUG-A): Damage insurance for a rented car without an accident. Covers damage to the glass, engine, mirrors, scratches, pillows (AIR BAG)

PAI — Personal Accident Insurance – no franchise: Protects you in the event of an accident or injury during the entire rental period. Passengers will also be insured.

TP — Insurance in case of theft – no franchise: In case the car was stolen, the client is released from liability, beside case you forget keys in the car, left the car windows down or the doors open, handed over or lost the car keys, and in conclusion the car was stolen. This does not apply to stolen property of the client.

PL — Liability Insurance.

FI — Fire insurance.

Taxes: All prices include VAT.

General exclusions of the Insurance Policy / Events that are not covered by the insurance.


1) Minimum age 21 and driving experience 2 years, maximum age 65 and driving experience 2 years, if at the time of the accident the car was driven by a person who violated the age limit and did not have sufficient driving experience, in this case the insurance does not apply, and you are responsible for the damage caused, so we strongly recommend not to give the car to inexperienced or inappropriate drivers. The minimum age limit for a sports car is 23 years and driving experience of at least 2 years, the maximum age is 65 and driving experience of at least 2 years.

2) According to the legislation of Georgia, drunk driving is strictly forbidden as well as under the influence of any other types of intoxication… If traces of alcohol exceeding the permissible norm or other prohibited substances will be found in your blood, then all expenses for repairing the car and damages will be under your responsibility.

– In the event of an accident – if the driver is intoxicated and/or leaves the scene of the accident and/or moves the vehicle without permission and/or does not report the accident to the police and/or does not notify the insurance company and the owner immediately after the accident – the insurance company will not reimburse the damage, and the responsibility for reimbursement of financial losses lies entirely with the client.

– An accident that occurred under the influence of alcohol or narcotic (psychotropic) substances (regardless of whether the damage was caused by you or another third party). If traces of alcohol or other illegal substances are found in your blood, the insurance policy is not liable, all costs will fall on you.

3) Accidents caused by the driver’s fault, willful or gross negligence:
– Exceeding the speed limit (Allowed speed + 10 km at most).
– Going into oncoming traffic (Driving in the oncoming direction in violation of traffic rules).
– Driver falling asleep at the wheel.
– Crossing the axle line.
– Disobeying traffic lights (Attempting to pass), etc.

4) In case of theft, if the registration certificate or the keys to the vehicle are left in the stolen vehicle.

5) In case of forgetting the key in the vehicle, giving the key to an unauthorized driver, including giving the key to security, parking or any similar service.

6) In case you left the window down or the door open (Forgot the keys in the car, forgot to raise the windows or close the car).

7) In case the insured vehicle has been misused and damaged in the process.

8) If the number of passengers in the insured vehicle violated the relevant technical regulations of the vehicle, which hindered driving the vehicle or endangered life, health, property or any other safety of all passengers in the insured vehicle at the time of the accident.

9) Suicide, attempted suicide or an intentional act intended to cause an accidental result.

10) Intentional acts, unlawful acts provided for by the criminal law.

11) Directly for damage caused to the tires of the insured car, except for cases when such damage to the tires is caused by the accident itself.

12) For theft, damage to TV-audio-video equipment and/or awnings (soft top), covers, as well as other non-factory parts/accessories, theft or loss of the state registration number, theft or loss of the certificate/technical passport of the insured vehicle.

13) For damage caused by any trailer attached to the insured vehicle.

14) In case the accident occurred while the vehicle was being used for the purpose of cargo transportation, as well as if the accident occurred as a result of being moved by a towing vehicle.

15) An accident that occurred while driving the car on the territory of an airfield or airport, except for accidents that occurred in a special parking lot.

16) An accident that occurred when the vehicle was operated on a construction site.

17) If the insurer has been provided with false or incomplete information (documents) about the accident.

18) In case the car has taken part in any type of racing.

19) In case of theft/robbery except for factory installed TV-audio-video equipment.

20) In case of ionizing radiation, radiation or contamination by nuclear or other harmful waste.

21) In case of changes in the natural state of gases containing radioactive, explosive or nuclear substances.

22) Reimbursement of expenses incurred while driving without a license. (If you hand over the car to a second driver who does not comply with our rental rules, all costs for fines and damages will be your responsibility).

23) On vehicles used for the following purposes:
– Transportation of explosives (such as nitroglycerin, dynamite, or any other explosives).
– Transportation of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), any fuel or flammable substances in bulk.
– Transportation of chemicals or gas (in liquid, compressed or gaseous state).
– Transportation of passengers/cargo or hire of a car or provision of cab services.
– Transportation of any movable plant or equipment of the contractor (other than cargo/vehicles for travel on public roads).

24) The insurance does not cover the rental of additional accessories and services. This means that the renter bears full financial responsibility for the property (Baby Seat, Roof Trunk, etc.) in case of damage or loss. Therefore, be careful, it will save your health, nerves and money.

25) If you did not notify us about the service of a second driver in order to save 20$, decided by yourself give the car to the second driver without informing us, and there was an accident, in this case the insurance policy will not be valid, the full responsibility for the costs will fall on you, so we strongly recommend not to make such decisions without informing us.

26) In case of loss of keys or vehicle registration documents, the client is financially responsible for their restoration.

27) If you violated a traffic rule, and received a fine for it, regrettably, you are the one to pay for it. The amount of the fine can be paid in cash, or in any convenient way for you, upon the return of the car.

6) Tenant's responsibilities and penalties.


Tenant’s Responsibilities.


INSURANCE: Lessor hereby warrants to the lessee that the vehicle is insured for:
1) Automobile Accident. (If you have followed the rules.)
2) Theft, robbery or attempted robbery. (If you followed the rules.)
3) Fire, explosion. (If you followed the rules.)
4) Third-party misconduct, vandalism, falling objects. (If you followed the rules.)
5) Natural disasters – flooding, snowfall, and movement of air masses.


PARKING: You can park your car in the strictly marked dotted lines, not including handicapped spaces. The car has a parking permit for the territory of Tbilisi, this does not apply to hourly parking spaces and is valid strictly within the territory of Tbilisi. If you need to park rented car in other cities, you must purchase a parking license for that particular city. If you park your car in hourly parking lots, you need to purchase a license in advance, which costs 1 day – 20 GEL, 7 days – 100 GEL, 30 days – 300 GEL. If you do not have a license and park rented car in the hourly parking lots, you will be fined, which you will have to pay.


CAR OPERATION: The car can be used on public roads, you must have the original driver’s license and passport with you. The number of passengers in the car must not exceed the number authorized by the manufacturer (It is forbidden to overload the car). It is forbidden to operate the car in the state of alcohol, drug and other intoxication, sickness and fatigue of the driver. It is forbidden to use the car for sports driving, off-road driving, driving training, racing, sports competitions, cab, passenger/companion transportation, subletting or other commercial use. Likewise, it is forbidden to give the car to third party drivers not specified in the Contract. It is forbidden to smoke in the rented car. It is forbidden for the Lessee to disassemble and make any repairs to the car, to interfere with the car’s structure, or to install additional equipment on it without the Lessor’s consent, except for the replacement or repair of the wheel tire.


FUEL TYPES: Premium-95 Gasoline (Not lower); Filling stations strictly: Rompetrol, Socar, Wissol, Gulf, Lukoil, Portal. Do not use the vehicle for a long time, when the gasoline indicator on the dashboard is yellow. The car must be returned with the same amount of gasoline with which it was rented. In case of returning the car with more gasoline than it was when the car was rented, the cost of gasoline will not be refunded.


ACTIONS IN CASE OF VEHICLE DAMAGE: In case of an accident involving the rented car or in case of finding damages on it (Scratches, Dents, Broken windows, etc.), the Lessee shall be obliged to immediately notify the Lessor:

* Call the police on tel.: 112 to document the incident. It is forbidden to leave or move the car from the place of the accident until the police arrives.


RENTER’S DUTIES: The Renter shall bear all expenses related to the operation of the car that are not the responsibility of the Lessor (fuel, etc.), as well as pay all fines for parking, speeding, violation of the Road Traffic Rules at his/her own expense. The Lessee undertakes to make a regular thorough inspection of the car for external and internal faults, and if any such faults are detected, to immediately notify the Lessor. At the first request of the Lessor to provide the car for technical inspection and maintenance. To operate the car only in the controlled territory of Georgia. To pay for the rent of the car in due time (to prolong the rent, the Contract). To treat with care the property entrusted to him. Fulfill the terms and conditions of this Agreement.


RENTER’S LIABILITY: The Lessee’s indemnification to the Lessor, as well as the cost of damage caused to third parties, shall be borne by the Lessee in full in cases:
* In case of any damage to the car while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication.
* When using the car for off-road driving or for driving training.
* When using the car for racing or sports competitions.
* When using the car for commercial purposes (subletting, cab, passenger and cargo transportation, etc.).
* The interior, suspension or running gear is damaged not as a result of an insured event, but due to the fault of the Lessee, another person, or circumstance.
* Damage to tires and disks.
* Transfer of the car to a person not specified in the Contract.
* In case of violation of other clauses of the contract.
* When the car is operated with faults that occurred during the use, as well as in case of malfunctions related to its incorrect operation (overheating, damage to the engine, gearbox, etc.). The amount to be reimbursed by the Lessee to the Lessor depends on the specific case and the amount of damage, the cost of repair works, spare parts, etc. If a tire is damaged, and it is impossible to repair it, the Lessee shall compensate the Lessor for the damage for a paired number of tires.

All damages, which are not indicated in the initial report by the police officers at the accident site, shall not be paid by the insurance company and shall be compensated at the expense of the Renter. The Lessor has the right to make a claim to the Renter of the car in the amount of the cost of repair works in case of new damages discovered when returning the car from the rental, including those not formalized in accordance with the requirements of the insurance company. In case of a situation that implies the impossibility of further operation of the car due to the Lessee’s fault, the security deposit is not refunded and the replacement car is not provided.

The Lessor retains the security deposit until the return of the car, the security deposit can be used for compensation of losses according to the terms of this Agreement, the remaining amount is returned to the Lessee. In case of an accident due to the Renter’s fault (driving on the oncoming lane, driving on the side of the road, drunk driving, etc.) the security deposit is not refunded, the insurance does not cover the case of malicious violation by the Renter, the insurance will not cover the expenses. The Lessee is obliged to compensate the Lessor for the damage in the amount of the repair cost or the whole car cost in case of total destruction. In case of an accident caused by the Lessee, the police will fine the Lessee according to the laws of Georgia. By signing, you confirm that you have been informed about this, the situation will be resolved in accordance with the legislation of Georgia.


RETURN OF THE CAR: The Lessee is obliged to return the provided car to the Lessor at the end of the rental period in a complete set, in a proper technical condition, taking into account normal wear and tear (in a condition suitable for use, without deterioration of its qualities and appearance). In case of returning the car before the term specified in the Contract, the paid money is not refunded.


Tenant’s Penalties.


* After the end of the rental period you have an additional hour to return the car, failure to return the car in time (more than 1 hour delay) – a fine in the amount of the cost of car rental per day.
* Driving the car without the original driver’s license, passport – 800 Lari fine.
* Loss of car key – (500-3000) GEL.
* Loss of technical passport, license plate of the car is fined – 300 Lari.
* Return of the car with less gasoline than the received volume – 80 GEL fine.
* For damage to tires, disks, hubcaps fine – (50-1000) GEL.
* For damage to the interior – (50-1000) GEL.
* For damage/deformation of the Front bumper, Rear bumper, Wing, Fender, Underfender, Doors, Sill not as a result of an insured event, but due to the Renter’s fault, the penalty is (50-1000) GEL.
* For damage to suspension, engine, gearbox, chassis not as a result of an insured event, but due to the Renter’s fault, the penalty is (100-5000) GEL.
* The car is provided in clean condition and return also in clean condition or surcharge (10-30) GEL.


* When renting the Renter makes 100% prepayment for the whole, agreed rent period of operation.


* If you violated a traffic rule, and received a fine for incorrect driving, you agree to pay this fine. The amount of the fine can be paid in cash, or in any convenient way for you, upon the return of the car. The tenant is obliged to pay all fines received during the lease.


* In case of loss of the registration certificate, car keys, the client is obliged to compensate for the damage.


* Since fuel costs are paid by the customer, the fuel level should not be less than the indicator when taking the car into operation. In case of returning the car with more gasoline than it was when issued, the cost of gasoline is not refunded.


* The car must be clean.


* In the case of driving while intoxicated, drunk, as well as when driving in off road locations without the approval from our side by the type of care not suitable for this, you are responsible for all the possible expenses.


* Unfortunately, if the car is returned earlier than the period specified in the contract, the amount paid for the unused period is not refundable.


* Operate the car only on the territory of Georgia.


* You can find in car First Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher, Emergency Stop Sign, Jack, Bolt Wrench and Spare Tire.


* Any personal information provided to us will be available only to entities related to RentAuto.ge, will be used only for the purpose of forming our services and will not be transferred to third parties on any condition, which is a guarantee of its safety.


* No additional charges on flight delays: All our employees are informed all the time for the arrival as well as their changes that might occur. They wait for your arrival flight to deliver you the car, even if there is a delay.


* You agree with the need to sign a rent agreement and an act of condition comparison of the car when it is accepted for use, after it has been fully checked together with our representative.


Before making a booking, you need to read and agree with the RentAuto.ge rental rules.


All amendments and additions to this Agreement shall be made in writing and signed by the parties. The Contract is created in Georgian, English and Russian languages in two copies having equal legal force, one for each of the parties, consists of 4 sheets containing all the information. All disputes and disagreements that may arise out of or in connection with this Contract shall be settled by agreement of the Parties in accordance with the current legislation of Georgia, if possible.


By signing the document you agree with our rules, as well as you confirm that you have read the agreement and familiarized with all the clauses. Our Organization reserves the right, to change, modify, update, add, or remove all or any portion of these Terms of use at any time. We wish you a pleasant and safe drive!

7) Can I return the car before the specified in the agreement time?

Yes, you can. But unfortunately, if the car is returned earlier than the period specified in the contract, the amount paid for the unused period is not refundable.

8) Which rental periods are available and what is the minimum rental period?

Minimum – 2 Days.
Maximum – 60 Days. If you need to rent a car for more than 60 days, please contact the operator.

9) Do you have any location restrictions that I would like to visit (Where can`t I drive)?

As a rule, there are no restrictions. However, given that we have a very diverse country and any tourist always wants to see as much as possible, our guests sometimes hope to go to places that are suitable for one type of car, but are not recommended for others. Despite the fact that the infrastructure in our country is well-maintained, we do not recommend going, for example, to mountainous areas by cars not designed for this. You have practically no restrictions on visiting different regions of Georgia if it does not damage the vehicle and does not endanger it. It is in connection with this that, unfortunately, it is impossible to drive in our cars in Tusheti and Ushguli.

Tell our operator your approximate travel plan/route and wishes, and we will find the right car for you. Otherwise, the responsibility for damage associated with improper use of the rented car lies upon you. 10) Am I limited in distance?

No. We do not set limits on mileage. You can drive as much as you can, the main thing is carefully and with pleasure.

11) Do I have to leave a deposit?

In most cases, no deposit is required. At the moment the deposit of $150 applies only to sport cars.

12) Where can RentAuto deliver the car and where can I return it?

We can deliver the car to any place convenient for you, within Georgia, you can also rent a car in one city and return it to another after the expiration of the rental period, if you plan, your journey so that it starts in one city, but ends in another, we cannot forbid you, and we don’t want to. For a small surcharge, we will pick up the car even from the peak of the mountain, most importantly not from the bottom of the lake.

13) How to pay for the rented car and services?

Everything is very simple, pay on the spot upon receipt of the car in operation. Non-cash payment on the spot or by bank transfer to our account in advance is also possible. When ordering, tell our operator the most convenient option for you.

14) What should I do in case of fine?

If you violated a traffic rule, and received a fine for it, regrettably, you are the one to pay for it. The amount of the fine can be paid in cash or in any convenient way for you, upon the return of the car.

15) Can I smoke in the car?

Unfortunately, we wouldn’t like you to smoke, as we carefully monitor our “fleet”. But if you can’t do without it, please be careful.

16) Where can I see a list of additional options and what do you offer?

When you pick up a car, a list of additional services we provide is available on the selection page in the options column (Extras). Basically, list of additional options:

1) Second Driver – 20$ for the whole reservation. Obligatory, in case you need second driver you must mark this section or warn the operator to indicate information about the second driver in the terms of the agreement.

2) Baby Seat – 30$ (Per whole reservation period).

3) Child Seat (Booster) – 30$ (Per whole reservation period).

4) Roof Trunk – 30$ (Per whole reservation period).

5) RentAuto Driver – 70$ Per day. Fuel and other (meal) costs are upon orderer.

WARNING: The insurance does not cover the rental of additional accessories and services. This means that the renter bears full financial responsibility for the property (Baby Seat, Roof Trunk, etc.) in case of damage or loss. Therefore, be careful, it will save your health, nerves and money.

17) What is included in the tariff (What do I pay for)?

First of all for comfort. We will select the most suitable car for you so that it is as comfortable and pleasant as possible to enjoy all the beauties of Georgia. But which one-depends on your preference. You pay only for what you choose, which is-for the car + additional services provided by us (for example, Additional Trunk, Child Seat, etc.).

18) Can I rent a car with a driver?

Yes. If you want just to relax, enjoy the beauties of our country, and don’t want to constantly drive, you can rent a car with a driver “in the kit”. The cost of this service is a fee for your chosen car + driver. The costs of fuel, food and accommodation (if necessary) are paid by the renter. The price of this service is 70$ per day. Distances of more than 100 km outside the city are viewed as a transfer service, and the cost of delivery to the point is calculated separately for each case. For more information about the cost of the transfer (for example, Tbilisi-Batumi), you can find out from our operator.

WARNING: the “Driver” service can be checked in the process of choosing a car, however, the system will calculate the cost for the entire rental period. If you need a driver only for a few days, check this option, but inform the operator about its partial use (for example, rent for 7 days, but the driver is needed only for 2 days).

19) How does the car return procedure occur?

After the expiration of the rental period, you must bring the car to a designated place, at the end of the rental time.

* Since fuel costs are paid by the customer, the fuel level should not be less than the indicator when taking the car into operation.

* The car must be clean.

* Our representative together with you will make a full inspection of the car, internal and external, for damage. A comparison will be made of the current state of the vehicle with an act signed at the time of its acceptance into operation. In the event of damage that was not recorded by the insurance, our representative will inform the cost of their repair, which has to be compensated by you.

* After the check, give in the keys.

WARNING: In case of loss of keys or vehicle registration documents , the client is financially responsible for their restoration.

The entire return procedure will take no more than 15-20 minutes.

20) How to change or cancel your booking?

To make changes or cancel your booking, you must follow the link, then enter your booking number, which was given to you at the time of booking. Then, it will be possible to make changes or, if desired, cancel the reservation. If you were unable to complete the change/cancellation, please contact our support team with this request, we will be happy to help you.
